About Our Organization
The Albany-Millersburg Economic Development Corporation (AMEDC), is a 501(c)4 non-profit economic development organization. AMEDC includes a 24-member board of directors who represent both public and private sectors throughout the region. Established with the mission of strengthening the local economy, AMEDC has been instrumental in the creation of over 1,800 direct jobs by 51 new and existing Albany- Millersburg industrial companies.
Mission Statement
To foster a healthy and viable economy in the Albany-Millersburg area.
Objectives

to assist in the development, retention, and expansion of Albany-Millersburg area businesses;

to improve the opportunity for business success;

to enhance the economic base by siting new targeted industries;

to support and assist in regional and state programs which will benefit the Mid Valley communities; and

to establish a viable partnership for managed economic growth.
History
Incorporated in 1982 as a non-profit economic development organization, AMEDC has a 24 member board of directors who represent a diversified public/private sector from both communities. Established by the vision of community leaders interested in strengthening a stagnating economy, AMEDC has been instrumental in the creation of over 1800 direct jobs, by 51 new and existing Albany-Millersburg industrial companies. John Pascone serves as president and continues to build and maintain the economy of our community.
